Wedding Gowns: Pick a Place, Then a Dress
YOUR WEDDING DRESS should complement your personality, figure, and, of course, your wedding venue! But WHOA there, ladies. Don’t head to the bridal salons before you know whether you’ll be exchanging vows in a grand ballroom or barefoot on the beach. As wedding planners and event designers, we are often surprised when we meet brides who have already purchased their wedding gown long BEFORE they have selected a wedding location. That dramatic ballgown might be gorgeous on you, and we’re positive it is, but a simple strappy sheath or light-weight lacy mermaid might be better suited for that beach celebration you have your heart set on. So, hold on. Pause. Take a breath and focus on one important planning element at a time.
But in the meantime, it doesn’t hurt to look. These highlights from theĀ Spring 2015 Bridal Collections may provide some light and airy gowns to consider for your (potentially) windswept beach wedding (the veil and high heels are optional):
Wedding Gowns: Pick a place, then a dress for your beach wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico featuring gowns from Temperley Long, Oscar de la Renta, Houghton, Vera Wang, Alberta Ferretti, Amsale, and Marchesa.
