Monday Muse: Ranunculus

Posted on March 14th, 2016 by Elena Damy

ranunculus spring flowers for weddings elena damy floral designer mexico wedding designers 2Although the temperatures have felt more like Summer these past few weeks, you only have to look in our floral design studio to see that SPRING HAS SPRUNG! Buckets of vibrantly-hued Tulips, crisp-lined Calla Lilies, softly perfumed Freesia, sweetly fragrant Hyacinths, delicate deep blue Muscari, and the whimsical grace of Anemones, to name but a few beautiful blooms in season.

But today, we’re feeling carried away by the ruffled romance of RANUNCULUS. These graceful beauties never fail to amaze and look almost as if they’re made of crepe paper! It’s no wonder Ranunculus is one of Springtime’s most popular flowers for bridal bouquets. Most impressive are the double bloom varieties, which are tightly packed with petals for layers and layers of luscious texture! With their whimsical stems, we like to use Ranunculus in vases where their early Spring playfulness can be celebrated in all their natural glory. Many of these blooms arrive from Italy or Israel, but we seek out the best of the best and love them from the moment they arrive. And, as you can see from these sweet photos from our dear friend Jessica Claire, Ranunculus are available in a rainbow of dreamy creamsicle shades.

Just the right kind of wedding inspiration we need this Monday morning!

Love, Elena Damy xoxo
