Seasonal fruits and vegetables are available, as well as farm-raised eggs, fresh herbs and cut flowers, pots of plants for your own garden, freshly baked bread and patisserie, local honey, natural vitamins, organic cosmetics, Mexican folk art, cuts of meat and poultry ready to grill such as chicken, lamb, and pork, as well as coffee, roasted right here in Baja! You can even take a yoga class or join an early morning meditation session. The Mercado is truly one of the best ways to experience Los Cabos!
AS A HEATHY FOODIE WHO LOVES TO COOK, Claudia frequents the Mercado because she strives to know what she’s eating and to get the tastiest, freshest ingredients possible. She also wants to support local businesses, artisans and farmers who put their hearts into what they produce. Plus, Claudia wants them to continue to offer their delicious foods for years to come! Visiting the local producers also helps us all to understand how creative the local restaurants can be now that more organic produce is available. You can taste the difference in the quality of what they’re serving, including the delicious cocktails we all enjoy in the evening!
THERE IS JUST NOTHING like starting the day at this open-air market filled with the aromas of freshly baked bread, roasting quesadillas, wood-oven baked pizzas! Add some festive live Mexican entertainment, some homemade chicken sopes for breakfast, maybe some still warm chocolate oatmeal cookies, and a fresh-pressed organic juice and you have an amazing start to the weekend!
