Sunset Ceremony at Las Ventanas al Paraiso

Las Ventanas al Paraiso is undoubtedly one of the best luxury resorts in Los Cabos, Mexico as it offers exceptional, thoughtful service and breathtaking scenery for weddings, encore ceremonies, weddingmoons, and honeymoons. Our clients, Karen and Michael, chose to celebrate their modern, red and white wedding at Las Ventanas with The Plaza terrace overlooking the water and coral sunset as a grand backdrop to their special day. As usual, it was a true pleasure working with Romance Director, Ximena Perez Marentes, from Las Ventanas al Paraiso. All of these beautiful photographs were taken by Los Cabos wedding photographer Dino Gomez.

From the beginning, the bride knew she wanted to carry a monochromatic bridal bouquet. Initially, she intended to carry and all red bouquet but changed to this stunning hand-tied bouquet of white phalaenopsis orchids.

Details are everything when it comes to weddings, no matter where they take place, and Karen and Michael’s personal styling was sophisticated and elegant right down to their weddings rings. We love how their wedding photographer, Dino Gomez, caught the texture and delicacy of Karen’s frothy, lacy wedding gown, as well as a fun nod to Mexican Folk Art with the Day of the Dead painted skull in the ring photo. No matter where you turn, no matter where you look, there are dramatic settings for wedding portraits to be taken and Dino used them all!

The Plaza is a sweeping terrace at the resort’s highest point with panoramic views of the sparkling Sea of Cortez and the captivating Los Cabos coastline. As in this case, wedding ceremonies are often held at sunset when the sky and sea turn spectacular shades of orange, coral, pink, and red, creating a magnificent, almost otherworldly backdrop, as the couple exchange vows. For Karen and Michael, we placed our chocolate brown wooden canopy against that glorious sunset. We strung hundreds of white carnations in ropes that hung from the canopy as modern drapes to symmetrically frame the bride and groom, yet not prevent guests from taking in the whole vista behind them. For the aisle, we created a swirled design down the entire length using fragrant red velvety rose petals.

After the wedding ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails on The Plaza before heading indoors for an elegant dinner dance in The Terrace Ballroom. Of course, the bride and groom snuck away for a few more portraits around the hotel grounds like this romantic kiss below.

The dinner dance celebration took place on The Terrace, using both the indoor and outdoor spaces that overlook The Plaza below. For the round dinner tables inside the ballroom, we designed monochromatic, low floral centerpieces with red roses, burgundy hydrangea, and dark red cymbidium orchids. The rich red palette complemented the classic champagne linens and rustic wooden chairs beautifully. On the outdoor terrace adjacent to the ballroom, we created one long dinner table using raw wooden tables, the same rustic chairs and long champagne fabric runners. As you can see in this stunning photo from Dino Gomez, we designed one long floral centerpiece for the feast table that was packed with the same red roses, burgundy hydrangeas, and dark red orchids used on the round tables in the ballroom. Tall glass cylinders with floating candles completed the intimate table settings to perfection!

Of course, after dinner the bride and groom surprised their guests with a well-choreographed first dance! From start to finish, Las Ventanas al Paraiso is a wonderful location for a wedding with powerful scenery that is not easily forgotten. Congratulations Karen and Michael!

    Good Morning,
We are a planning a wedding at Las Ventanas in early November. It very well could be on Monday, November 9. It will be on the beach (wedding and dinner reception). It will be for 20-30 people. We would like it simple but pretty.
Can you send me some ideas of prices and do you have an minimum amount that you charge.
