Amanda & Christiaan’s Romantic Rooftop Wedding

As their wedding planners and event designers, it was an absolute privilege to bring Amanda and Christiaan’s vision to life at The Cape, a Thompson Hotel, in Cabo San Lucas. The tranquility of the Pacific Ocean served as a stunning backdrop, with the refined elegance of the hotel’s rooftop terrace, every detail was thoughtfully curated to embody their unique blend of modern glamour and timeless romance.

A Lavish Ceremony on the Sea

The ceremony took place on the hotel’s main terrace overlooking the ocean, where the hotel’s dramatic curved staircase served as the perfect ceremony aisle and each guest enjoys a spectacular view! Lush, luxurious floral displays were created by our Creative Director, Elena Damy, and her floral team. Asymmetrical floral sculptures gracefully arced to create a captivating backdrop for the ceremony, blending artistry with natural beauty. Cascading phalaenopsis orchids, creamy roses, soft hydrangea, Queen Anne’s Lace, and delicate clouds of baby’s breath framed Amanda and Christiaan as they exchanged vows. Additional floral arrangements lined the aisle, enveloping the space in a lush, fragrant display of blooms. The result was a setting that balanced serenity with drama, embodying a seamless fusion of elegance and sophisticated design.

Reception Romance on the Rooftop

For the reception, guests were welcomed to the rooftop terrace, offering panoramic views of the ocean, sunset, and Cabo’s skyline. Long dinner tables lined a grand central dancefloor, which was crowned by glimmering crystal chandeliers that added a touch of opulence to the open-air space. Each table was dressed in black silk linens and adorned with low, sumptuous floral arrangements. Modern crystal hurricanes and clear ghost chairs completed the look, striking the perfect balance between classic and contemporary wedding style.

Sweet & Sentimental Moments

Amanda and Christiaan’s playful personalities added a sense of joy and spontaneity to the evening. A champagne fountain served as a delightful highlight, with the couple cheekily raising a toast with their own bottles of bubbly! And their wedding cake was inspired by, and featured, a Clase Azul Tequila bottle! Guests danced the night away under the shimmering chandeliers, savoring every moment of a celebration that was as stylish as it was heartfelt.

Amanda dazzled in a showstopping Galia Lahav wedding gown that perfectly complemented her statuesque figure. The gown’s long, layered train and ethereal veil added a touch of enchantment, making her appear as though she was floating through every space she entered. She completed her bridal look with sultry pearl-adorned Jimmy Choo Sacaria sandals and flawless hair and makeup crafted by Los Cabos Makeup, achieving an effortlessly elegant and timeless aesthetic.
