Cooking Together, a Baja-Inspired Bridesmaids Luncheon

When planning their destination wedding in Los Cabos, Rachel and Corey wanted to create an entire weekend of events and parties to share with their family and friends. From a Welcome to Cabo Pool Party to the festive rehearsal dinner, and all the way to the wedding celebration itself. But, we have to admit, one of our favorite events of the weekend was Rachel’s bridesmaids’ luncheon at Flora Farms.

Warm and Inviting

The day was extraordinarily warm and inviting, in more ways than one. Rachel and her bridesmaids, as well as Rachel’s mom and mother-in-law-to-be, and other dear friends, all arrived wearing their pretty party frocks, clearly fond of each other, offering laughter and affection at every opportunity. They leisurely wandered through the lushly landscaped grounds of the farm, taking in the fragrance of the flowers on the way over to the luncheon area. Rachel had asked our in-house wedding planner, to arrange a cooking class to take place first, with each guest getting their own, personalized embroidered apron to wear! One of many thoughtful keepsakes Rachel found for her guests. Chefs from the farm offered cooking lessons in many favorite local dishes, such as guacamole, salsa, and even tortillas! A casual sit-down luncheon followed, with a menu of delicious foods made with ingredients grown and raised right on the farm.

The energy throughout the event was playful, relaxed, and joyful! A pleasure to witness, and just one of many beautiful memories we’ll be sharing from Rachel and Corey’s wedding weekend. Stay tuned for more inspiration coming soon!

Capturing the Mood and Magic

We must thank the lovely and uber-talented photographer, Lucy Munoz, for capturing the mood and magic of the party. Just wait until you see the other parties! Also, as ever, we thank the wonderful team at Flora Farms for all that they do to teach, share, and serve our clients with spirit and generosity.
