Marisa & Frank’s Beachfront Wedding at The Cape
Beachfront Wedding at The Cape
MARISA AND FRANK’S Cabo wedding took place at The Cape, one of Mexico’s newest resorts and, perhaps, most stylish. Located within the natural landscape surrounding the Monuments Beach point break, The Cape is the quintessential Southern California-meets-Baja luxury hotel. The ideal wedding venue for a fun, hip couple like Marisa and Frank! Working closely with our in-house wedding planners and Elena Damy herself on the event design, Marisa and Frank’s real wedding was epic from start to finish! Congratulations to the bride and groom, as well as to Team Elena Damy on a beautiful wedding celebration! Getting to see their wedding story re-told through the artistic lens of destination wedding photographer Dennis Berti is fresh, authentic and emotional. Enjoy!
THE ENERGY IN THE BRIDAL SUITE was festive and sentimental, all at once. Together with her friends and bridal party, Marisa was joined in the suite by her mother and mother-in-law-to-be. Champagne was poured, thoughtful gifts were exchanged, and tears of happiness were flowing! Below, Creative Director and Lead Floral Designer for Elena Damy, our dear Elena, delivered the personal flowers and bridal bouquets to the ladies as she normally does. For Marisa, Elena designed a modern bouquet using just white mini Calla Lilies tightly wrapped and secured with a clean band of satin.
THE CAPE is a Thompson Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel management, and development company that designs its hotels to be part of the local environment. Each guest is greeted by breathtaking views, stylish surroundings, and gracious hospitality. The views from each balcony shown below are unforgettable, but then add to that the panoramic 360 views from the Rooftop, restaurant, and seaside terraces, and it’s a WOW on every level. The photo below flips the focus back on the hotel itself, and we particularly love seeing Marisa and Frank’s wedding ceremony set up on the terrace. The stillness before the storm.
CLEARLY A FUN LOT, FRANK AND HIS FRIENDS found time to toast the groom with plenty of champagne during his preparations before the wedding ceremony. We do love when the men wear what they like, nothing matching, nothing fussy or formal.
THE DAY WAS HOT, HOT, and, of course, HAUTE! On an ocean-facing terrace, Elena designed a simple-but-lush ceremony arch using tropical leaves and natural greens. Low wooden benches and cross-back chairs were provided for the wedding guests. Modern glass cylinders holding white roses lined the ceremony aisle.
MARISA AND HER FATHER heading off to the wedding ceremony by golf cart, with Team Elena Damy coordinators working their wedding coordination magic on the phone to get the timing just perfect!
WHEN WE SAID EPIC, we meant it. Just look at this ceremony setting! We can only imagine what Marisa was feeling as she walked down those steps! Frank was waiting for her just before the arch and the rest is history! Love and laughter sealed the deal!
COCKTAILS ON THE ROOF, a group wedding photo with friends and families, and the party begins! As Marisa and Frank head out for photos on the beach, their guests enjoy the sunset views seen from virtually every space at the hotel.
THE WEDDING RECEPTION took place on the main lobby level of the hotel, where walls don’t exist but chic lounges and a big central bar are front and center. Elena designed the space using long dinner tables around the dance floor and stage. Some tables were fully-draped in champagne linens, others had long wide fabric runners, but ALL had gorgeous low flower arrangements! White garden roses and ivory spray roses in contemporary glass vases were placed down the center of the tables with glass hurricanes and votive candles. Minty green succulents and palm leaves were tucked in and around the settings.
ONE INCREDIBLE PHOTO after another! Beautiful, golden light and all kinds of playful, loving spirit make for some fab photos!
FEASTING, TOASTING, DANCING, and repeat. Dinner and dancing in one reception space mean the party stays united in one place for hours, making for one awesome celebration! Afterward? Well, only a cigar rolling station, sky lantern release and midnight swim can end this cool wedding on the right note! What an amazing celebration!
