THE SPA AT LAS VENTANAS
Frankly, the whole luxury resort feels like a spa to us with its tranquil energy, and bright white and airy open spaces. Just imagine what The Spa at Las Ventanas feels like! Inspired by the four elements: earth, air, fire and water, The Spa offers a wide list of soul soothing services to sample. There are several treatments for two, but their Bridal Ritual is perhaps the most intriguing as it’s designed for the bride and her bridesmaids and is meant to evoke the “blessings of the earth, deepest friendship and heartfelt love.” Specifically, the bride and her bridesmaids share a Holistic Twilight Ceremony, with candles illuminating The Spa’s Solarium and crystal bowls resonating with beautiful harmonic tones. The Bridal Ritual is a Mayan ritual which is performed with sage smoke and shaman prayers to honor Mother Earth and the four elements. Tapping into positive, and hopefully, calming energy, the Holistic Twilight Ceremony is followed by a personalized massage for the bride and each bridesmaid. Sounds blissful for wedding planners too! THE SPA & FITNESS CENTER AT ONE&ONLY PALMILLA
The One&Only Palmilla Resort opened a gorgeous new spa after being hit hard by Hurricane Odile. Newly renovated, with one luxurious upgrade after another, the 22,000 square foot spa and wellness facility features signature services in 13 private treatment villas, each set within a secluded, landscaped courtyard, with optional amenities like plunge pools, rain showers and swinging day beds. Two services to note specifically are the Couples Experience, the first, a two or three hour pampering experience in a secluded private suite; and the second, the Groom’s Cut at the men’s grooming salon Barber&Blade.
THE SPA AT ESPERANZA
Always floating to the top of the list, The Spa at Esperanza ranks Numero Uno in all of Mexico and Latin America according to prestigious travel publications, Travel & Leisure Magazine and Conde Nast Traveler UK. Celebrated for its coastal-desert environment and handcrafted indigenous botanical treatments, The Spa at Esperanza might be our personal favorite place to be pampered. What’s not to tempt and tantalize about this peaceful place? The indoor/outdoor treatment rooms bould be the deciding factor, specifically, the private palapa massage “rooms” with nothing but the sound of crashing waves to sooth your soul. And, for the ultimate romantic rendezvous, the couple’s suite is a private retreat complete with a soaking pool, an outdoor shower, and a sunbathing and relaxation area.
