Pink Ombre Wedding in Cabo
AS FEATURED THIS WEEK ON STYLE ME PRETTY DESTINATION WEDDINGS, you’ll see just how lovely Marilyn and Jarrett’s sweet pink ombre wedding was… and it took plae right here in our little slice of Mexican paradise, Cabo San Lucas! From their romantic ceremony on the beach, to their lively cocktail reception in the cantina, to the intimate family-style sit-down dinner in the Hacienda, and then on to dancing the night away under the stars, it was a wedding to remember! You can experience their wedding below or by jumping over to Style Me Pretty… Either way, we know you’ll love how this Los Cabos wedding turned out! Sweet, indeed.
FROM STYLE ME PRETTY CONTRIBUTOR DAWN STRONG: I love a bride and groom who aren’t afraid of a little color, and this stunning duo? They’re embracing pink ombre in the most elegant of ways. Think drop-dead gorgeous florals from Elena Damy, a sweet collection of bridesmaids frocks and paper goods from Papellerie that are all sorts of awesome. All planned by the talented Belle of the Ball, this is destination glam done oh-so-right. See it all captured by Nancy Aidee right here in THE VAULT, then press play on the film from Sculpting with Time.
As shared on Style Me Pretty, our dear bride Marilyn said:
“I wanted our day to be elegant and beautiful. At the same time, I wanted it to be FUN since everyone was making a special trip for us to Mexico! We wanted a destination wedding and once we decided on Cabo, we knew we wanted to incorporate Mexican elements into the day. Hacienda Cocina y Cantina was the perfect venue for this! We loved the idea of having our ceremony & cocktail hour on the beach, dinner in an indoor/outdoor space and dancing in the palapa along the Sea of Cortez.
Each bridesmaid wore a different style dress in a different shade of pink for an ombre effect. The escort cards were attached to maracas and were in pink ombre as well. The groomsmen’s bow ties had fish & hooks on them, which I thought was a fun, subtle element. My dress was a faint blush, which I loved! The beautiful florals were also different shades of pink and made for a very colorful and elegant setting.
For the day of the wedding, all of the bridesmaids, house party, flower girls, mother of the bride and I got ready in Mexican Mumu dresses. Jarrett and I loved our entrance into dinner, our intro song was an instrumental version of Jay Z’s “Big Pimpin’” and everyone shook their maracas so loud for the entrance. It was a surreal & awesome moment. We also loved dancing to Indian music with my Indian family members.
One of my most special details is the picture of my dad I had pinned to the inside of my bouquet, just like my sister did at her wedding. He passed away 10 years ago and it was nice to have my dad with me while my mom walked me down the aisle. Our first dance was “In My Life” by the Beatles. We both grew up listening to the Beatles with our parents and wanted a classic song.”
