Kathy & Ty’s Vibrant Beach Wedding
After a lively “Mexican Fiesta” Welcome Party on the beach at The Resort at Pedregal, Kathy and Ty chose to celebrate their Los Cabos beach wedding at nearby Hacienda Cocina y Cantina. On the beach, of course. Hacienda is a popular restaurant here in Cabo San Lucas, favored for its sweeping ocean views and warm, inviting atmosphere. The perfect place, as it turns out, for this colorful family celebration! (and something you clearly see in the wedding photos captured by Anna Gomes.)
Wedding Coordination
Claudia Morales, one of our wedding planners here at Elena Damy, assisted the couple with their wedding planning leading up to the day, as well as orchestrating the weekend’s events as they happened. When you’re planning a destination wedding it really is a relief to know you have someone taking care of every detail for, and with, you! Claudia and Kathy were a fantastic team too!
Event Design Inspiration
Our clients wanted joyful, bright Spring hues for their wedding design! They were inspired by the beautiful ocean blues – teal, aqua, marine – as well as the bold colors of Baja. Creative Director Elena Damy blended beautiful blooms, neutral fabrics, and natural textures for an eye-catching event design. Elena chose to make the coral peony the star of the show but added purple hydrangea, orange parrot tulips, cream and purple tulips, green viburnum, and yellow orchids to the mix. You can see the palette carried throughout the event from start-to-finish, from the bridal bouquet shown above to the ceremony arch on the beach and floral centerpieces.

It’s been a year this week since their Cabo wedding and there’s nothing more perfect than celebrating with a walk down memory lane! Everyone at Elena Damy wishes Kathy and Ty a very happy anniversary! Cheers!
Designer Note: Hanging Floral Design
One of our favorite ways to add a dramatic element to a wedding reception is to take the flowers up into the ceiling over a dance floor or hang a floral arrangement low over the dinner tables. We did that here too for Kathy and Ty’s wedding and it looked amazing!
