Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a Sabio Sour
SAVOR THE FLAVOR of a Sabio Sour, a delicious cocktail hand-crafted by Danielle Tatarin, mixologist at Acre Restaurant and Cocktail Bar in San Jose del Cabo. If you can’t get to Los Cabos to sample a Sabio freshly made, why not enjoy it at home with this simple recipe? Here’s what you need to do:
THE SABIO SOUR by Danielle Tatarin
Ingredients
2 oz Reposado Tequila
1/2 oz Cointreau
3/4 oz Sage Syrup
1 oz Fresh-squeezed Lime Juice
Directions
Vigorously shake all the ingredients together on the ice, then strain over fresh ice into a highball glass rimmed with sage salt. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge or wheel and a whole leaf of fresh sage.
Want to make your own sage salt? All you need to do is crush fresh sage leaves and coarse sea salt together in a mortar. Generally, waiting until the salt crystals have a light green tinge in color. Store in an airtight container until the next time you plan to enjoy a Sabio Sour.
Thanks for the recipe, Danielle!
