Ana & Javo’s Beautiful Big Baja Bash!
ANA AND JAVO, one of the sweetest and most adorable couples we’ve ever had the pleasure to work with, and who come from equally lovely families, chose to marry in the quaint village of San José del Cabo. First, with a traditional Catholic church ceremony at the Mision de San José del Cabo Anuiti, a mission church founded in 1734 which is located in the heart of San Jose’s Historical District. Then, the celebration continued with a big blow out dinner dance extravaganza at The Westin Resort & Spa, Los Cabos! Working closely with their amazing wedding planner, Mariana Duran of Arte en Eventos, we were honored to bring Ana and Javo’s dream wedding to life for them to cherish for years to come, of course! But for all 600 of their guests to enjoy as well!

THE MISSION of San Jose del Cabo was all decked out for the ceremony in giant displays of wispy white Gypsophila aka Baby’s Breath. Delicate, sweet blooms not usually requested but truly ethereal when massed together in big showy bunches! We also dressed the entrance doorway with tons of the frothy flowers for a fantastic entrance (and exit) statement!
THE SOPHISTICATED PARTY at The Westin Resort & Spa consisted of cocktails on the terraces overlooking the sea, an open-air seated dinner and, OF COURSE! plenty of dancing before, during and after! This is no ordinary hotel. Oh no, this is one giant, fabulous terra cotta modern architectural masterpiece that truly makes a statement! For larger weddings and events, it really is the place to be and Ana and Javo’s wedding needed lots of space to shine! Family photos and bridal party portraits were taken at different eye-popping locations across the beachfront property, here are a couple of our favorites…
ELENA CRAFTED A SOFTLY CASCADING bridal bouquet using the bride’s favorite bloom: the elegant white Phalaenopsis Orchid. Set against her petite frame and delicate lace wedding gown, the bouquet was perfectly in scale for the occasion.
THE EVENT DESIGN and floral decor for the wedding reception focused on modern, monochromatic floral arrangements displayed in collections of glass vases. Pale green Hydrangea, ivory Roses, and white Orchids used in repetition created a contemporary lushness across the large number of dinner tables. Clear lucite console tables, metallic draped dinner tables and dramatic event lighting took this event to a whole other level!
Sadly, The Westin Resort & Spa, Los Cabos was significantly impacted by Hurricane Odile last year and is still undergoing a comprehensive restoration process of its guest rooms, public areas, restaurants and bars. However, much to the community’s delight, the resort is expected to reopen completely restored and renovated on July 1, 2016.
