Aranza & Adam’s Glamorous Wedding at Waldorf Astoria

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

We’re so happy to share this gorgeous real wedding as it was featured on Wedding Chicks!

“Aranza and Adam’s Cabo wedding was romantic, classical, and glamorous in that traditional, old school kind of way. Their destination wedding was held at the pristine Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. The event design, florals, and wedding planning were orchestrated by our friends at Elena Damy Destination Weddings & Events.

Tropical Storm Warnings on the Wedding Day

A tropical storm warning was in effect on the day of their wedding. Their outdoor wedding ceremony would have to be canceled and moved to an indoor location. The entire wedding team and especially the couple wanted to avoid this since they planned an ocean-front destination wedding at this luxurious resort.

Mexico’s destination wedding photographer, LA76 Photography, goes into more detail about this glamorous Los Cabos wedding. So, keep reading.

Amazing Families

According to the couple’s photographers,  LA76 Photography: Aranza and Adam are a fantastic couple – their love for each other, their hearts, and their style was impeccable. It was a union of two cultures, a Mexican and a Canadian, and the respect and love the entire wedding party shared was incredible.

I mentioned how amazing the couple and their families are – but this needs to be pointed out: the groom’s sister is a nurse, a front line worker during the Covid-19 pandemic. That’s why their family’s foundation The Conconi Foundation was recently matching donations up to $500,000 USD to the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation as well as the St. Paul’s Foundation in Canada to support healthcare teams on the frontlines of this crisis. How amazing is that?

More About the Tropical Storm Threat

From: LA76 Photography– The ultimate goal of the day was to keep the rain away, and capture their love story in the best way possible way!

In order to have the wedding ceremony outdoors with the ocean view and avoid the rain, meant the wedding planners needed to change the ceremony to 1 pm. It was originally scheduled for 5 pm in the early evening. After all the planning, our collective prayers were heard – the rain didn’t start until 9 pm when all the guests were dancing under a covered palapa.

The Bride and Groom

Aranza and Adam live in Canada, so we could not meet them before their wedding day. However, we had video calls and were able to get to know each other that way. I was humbled by Aranza’s grace, elegance, and style. Her taste is impeccable, and her heart is pure. Being close to her the entire day, and seeing the outpouring of love and respect everyone had towards her. I knew she was a fantastic human, which was even more evident from the matching donations for healthcare workers. Adam’s love for Aranza is worthy of a real gentleman. I wish more men were like that!

The Wedding Venue

From: LA76 Photography– The wedding celebration took place at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. The ceremony took place under the arches and was covered with blush roses and florals. Their first kiss was like a movie scene! The wedding reception was moved from a cliffside, open-air restaurant El Farallon to Don Manuel’s because of a tropical storm. This was a good move because it started raining at 9 pm. But moving the reception didn’t affect the beauty of the setup – in fact, it was even more beautiful. The dance floor, where Aranza and Adam danced and had their first dance as a husband and wife, was covered with delicate sparkles and hanging lights, it looked like they are dancing under a sparkling sky. It was a sight I will remember forever!

Signature Wedding Cocktails

Aranza’s signature drink was the Pearl and Lemon Fizz – Vodka, Prosecco, pear, Ginger and Cranberry Juice. Adam’s Signature Drink was the Spicy Cucumber Margarita – Toquilla, Cointreau, Jalapeño, Cucumber, Lime Fresh Mint, and Ginger. Both were as delicious as they sound!

Favorite Memories from the Wedding Day

From: LA76 Photography: Our favorite memories were the pure joy and love both families shared with every guest. The Father of the bride and daughter’s first look made me cry it was so emotional!. You can see this in the full gallery. A movie set style wedding ceremony decor and first kiss that looked almost like it was staged or rehearsed, but that’s how Aranza and Adam genuinely are. Their first dance under the sparkling sky, as well as sweet sentimental dances with grandfather and grandma. You can see this in the full gallery. Of course, the fact that we beat the tropical storm! AND, the bride, groom, and both sets of parents placed their complete trust in the hands of us and the wedding planners, to help us create and capture a truly unforgettable wedding celebration. I believe we achieved it! ”
