Modern Romance at Casa Turquesa

Posted on May 18th, 2014 by Melissa Paul

On the Pacific Ocean side of Los Cabos sits a new, luxury community called El Pedregal. Within its walls are magnificent villas and private estates that simply take your breath away! Casa Turquesa is one of those beautiful villas and was the location for Sarah and Blake’s recent wedding. Situated on a cliff overlooking the Pacific, 350 feet directly above the beach, this spectacular home, with its graceful, flowing architecture, was the perfect luxurious setting for their modern beach wedding.

The spacious villa gave the bride and her bridesmaids plenty of private space in which to get their hair and makeup done all together. Those hours are some of the most special of the day as they give the ladies time to catch up, hang out, and bond with each other. Don’t they all look wonderful in their matching robes? Their dresses were all various shades of ivory, nude, and blush in the lace or silky fabric of their choosing. Such a fun idea, and a way to bring individual style into the wedding design.

Sarah’s wedding gown was just exquisite, all lace, fine lines and fitted perfection! Such a gorgeous bride!

Everywhere you turn, Casa Turquesa provides scenic backdrops and comfortable environments for everyone’s preparations. We love the bride’s portraits shot against the rustic turquoise doors, tropical plants, and Mexican tiles.

To compliment the bride’s lace gown we designed a hand-tied bouquet with roses, lisianthus, mini calla lilies, ranunculus, and eucalyptus. The groom’s gray suit and ivory silk tie was perfect paired with a simple white boutonniere for the ceremony using blooms used in the bride’s bouquet. Just before they saw each other, Sarah and Blake exchanged love notes and below you see the groom reading his note. They are such timeless, keepsake images that we know Blake will cherish for years.

These are such gorgeous, emotional photos of the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. There is something so magical about this private time of the day.  No one else is around and it is truly a time just for the bridal couple. They are romantic, sweet, and sentimental photographs that lead right into the formal portraits and family pictures shared with everyone else.

For the whole villa entrance and wedding ceremony are we designed floral arrangements of every size using hundreds of white roses, lisianthus, spray roses, ranunculus, and silver eucalyptus. Dozens of glass cylinders with candles were placed throughout and white rose petals lined the aisle.

For the bridesmaids we created loose, romantic bouquets of softly gathered white roses, ranunculus, and eucalyptus leaves.

Such a beautiful wedding ceremony filled with light and love! Then, after a few fun bridal party photos on the beach with giant balloons, it was on to the party!

Back at Casa Turquesa guests were treated to cocktails on the terraces and a candle-lit dinner celebration. For the dinner tables we designed elegant floral arrangements in modern glass cylinders filled with ranunculus, roses, mini calla lilies, and lisianthus.

Warm, rich neutral tones blended beautifully with the modern metallics and traditional laces used throughout the wedding. Of course, once the dinner was over and the cake was sufficiently smashed in each other’s faces, it was time to get on the dance floor and get crazy! Together with their friends and family, Sarah and Blake danced until the late hours of the night before sending off lanterns over the water for good luck.

And, no outdoor wedding is complete without a joyful sparkler-filled send off and last kiss for the crowd! Congratulations again Sarah and Blake!
