Supporting the BCS Community Alliance

We Support the BCS Community Alliance

During this challenging time, Elena and I believe it is absolutely critical to support our local community. As the COVID-19 Pandemic continues to affect Baja California Sur, we see that our neighbors are struggling. More and more, each day. It’s heartbreaking.

Uniting Together to Help

This is why we are truly grateful to know that the Los Cabos Children’s Foundation along with several other local, state, and national foundations and local Baja businesses, have formed the Baja California Sur Community Alliance to help Los Cabos and the rest of Baja California Sur through this extremely difficult time.

The Baja California Sur Community Alliance (BCSCA) is working diligently with three levels of government, non-profits, and community leaders on many issues affecting San Jose del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas, and La Paz. Specifically addressing the economic impact the pandemic crisis is having on many residents who have lost their jobs and regular wages. As well as facing the difficult aspects of having to prepare for an extended lockdown.

BCSCA Has Our Support!

When we heard the BCSCA’s main objectives, we knew we needed to support them:

— No person in Baja goes without food during this period of the COVID-19 pandemic;

— Supporting medical services by providing the tools necessary to effectively treat patients during the crisis; and

— Creating a permanent network of support that is able to be activated in future emergencies.

Elena and I have made a financial donation to the BCS Community Alliance. Our company, ELENA DAMY, has volunteered the use of our company vehicles, the entire team (including us) as extra hands, and even our walk-in refrigerators to store food if needed.

Can You Support BCS with Us?

We would love to encourage ELENA DAMY’s former, current, and future clients, as well as our friends, family, and colleagues, to make a donation in support of the BCS Community Alliance. $250,000 has already been raised from a combination of community members and local partners. A private donor, through the International Community Foundation, has offered a 2:1 match up to $500,000 towards purchasing and distributing food, which will result in $1 million for families of Baja California Sur.

Now is the time we can all make a difference. No amount is too small. Can you help the people of our beautiful Baja?
